New York City's Health Department said Yesterday That Michael was the most popular nane for baby boys with Ashley being the No. 1 Choice for Girls

The favorite names for white boys were Michael, Joseph, with Daniel and Matthew tied for the third. For white girls, Darah, Rachel and Ava topped the list.

Asians' favorite boy names were Ryan, Jason and Kevin. For girls, Emily led the pack, followed by Sophia and Chloe.

Around 125,500 babies were born in the city last year, according to the city's Health Department.
